Position: Parking Lot Maintenance Specialist
​
At The Parking Lot Pros, we specialize in keeping parking lots in top-notch condition. From line painting to asphalt repair, crack sealing to sign installation, we do it all. We're currently seeking individuals who are handy, reliable, and eager to work on a casual basis to join our team. The work can be very labour intensive so we are seeking an energetic individual able to handle a heavy workload. This is a utility position with options to work with other trades, learning a multitude of skills. It has the potential to reach up to 30 hour work weeks at this time, depending on the level of involvement the applicant requests. We are also seeking someone who is willing to make extra money using their truck to tow small trailers and would consider this an asset.

Sign installation and repair

Traffic calming installation and repair

Parking lot sweeping and backpack blowing

Building maintenance and general handyman work

Work Details

Part Time 24 hours a week with a possibility for more

Daytime, evening, early morning, weekend and shifts

Pay rate starts at $28.00/hr for on the job work

Travel outside of Central Alberta (30+ km from Red Deer), training courses, and shop work are compensated at a reduced rate of $23.00/hr, reflecting the typically lower labor intensity of these tasks.

Opportunity for advancement to full-time employment or running your own crew

Job schedule is usually set 1-2 weeks in advance but sometimes shorter notice

Work involves out of town work all over Alberta but mostly frequenting Red Deer, Calgary and Edmonton.

Sometimes lunch is not available and you need to bring food.

Requirements

Must be reliable and punctual
-
Must be able to lift 60lbs regularly (The paint cans are 60lbs and need to be lifted in and out of the containment bin.)

Must be able to work early mornings as early as 4:00 am, evenings as late as 12:00 am, weekends and holidays.

Handy with tools and equipment

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Valid Class 5 driver's license and transportation

Experience in parking lot maintenance or related field is a plus, but not required

Experience in general contracting and handyman services is a plus, but not required
